Project Overview

This project comprised the construction of 350 meters of riverbank protective works along the left bank of the Meghna River (from KM 142.867 to KM 143.277). Implemented under the BWDB Lakshmipur O&M Division, the initiative was part of the larger "Protection Work at the Bank of Meghna River at Borokheri, Ludhuabazar, and Kaderponditer Hat Areas" project. The works aimed to safeguard vulnerable zones in Ramgati and Kamalnagar Upazilas from river erosion, contributing to the protection of lives, infrastructure, and agricultural land from seasonal flooding.
